FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE

February 15, 2005

Advisory Committee for Child and Youth Services

Wednesday, Feb 16 2005 PROTEST IN TORONTO

The Advisory Committee for Child and Youth Services Families across Canada begin to unite as a "union" to bring reform to "Child and Youth Services"

Queen's Park Rally for Reform of the Child and Family Service Act (CFSA)

February 16, 2005 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Organized by: The Advisory Committee for Child and Youth Services

Assemble in the Gallery inside the Provincial Parliament Building . Overflow will be to the lawn outside Parliament at College St and University Ave.

OUR MISSION IS TO BRING REFORM TO THE CFSA OF ONTARIO TO PROTECT THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN AND THEIR PARENTS.

On February 16, 2005, a rally will be held at Queen's Park between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm. A press conference immediately precedes it from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.

The Minister of Child and Youth Services as well as the NDP and PC social policy critics have been invited.

This "UNION" of Ontario groups under the umbrella of the Advisory Committee for Child and Youth Services will ask the provincial government to launch a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the legal problems created by the present Child and Family Services Act. The misfiring of this legislation has adversely affected lives of parents and children. It has led to the needless apprehension of children, the destruction of families and to a huge financial burden to the taxpayers of Ontario .

The Advisory Committee for Child and Youth Services is offering an invitation any groups or individuals who want to join this "Union". In case you are not approached in person, consider yourself invited by this message. Sponsored by:

Citizens for Social Morality || Dufferin V.O.C.A. (Voices of Children Alliance || Family Justice Review Committee ( Canada Court Watch) || Foster Care Council of Canada || Mothers-in Exile (Adoptions Canada) || Windsor Coalition against Poverty || Delhi-Brant Family Assistance Group || Family Aid Society || The Child Predator Intolerance Division of Canada|| THE COMMITTEE (People-4-People)
