Mario, continue telling the truth, it is the Achilles Heel of Bush

By Franz J. T. Lee

Across the ages, ever since the introduction of labor, of technology, of master and slave relations, ideas were born, were developed, were controlled. Marx said it, not only do dominant ideas reflect the superstructure of class struggle, they are also the ruling ideas of the ruling classes. They teach the masters how to rule, the slaves how to be docile and obedient.

It is not today that Murdoch and Co. are controlling the realm of ideas, long ago, in his 'Republic' Plato has launched political slave education, the mental holocaust. Machiavelli and Hitler said it unequivocally that if you want to control the working masses, you have to get control of their education. In his famous work '1984' George Orwell informed us about the big lie, 'newspeak', 'double-think' and 'thought-crime'. Hence, what we are currently experiencing in Venezuela, in the Americas, on a world scale, is simply a transhistoric process of permanent social destruction, a genocide of the minds of millions and of billions.

Not only is the perverse, unilateral, dominant process, the chronic relation between exploited nature and oppressive society ... as reflected in the whole process of production, of labor, of history ... the Moloch of physical human toil, worse even, it is the capitalist accumulative Leviathan which is devouring all that which is still specifically human and essentially humanistic, namely, it is the annihilation of the human mind. All these in the name of religion, culture, ideology, customs and behavior patterns. The current globalized, imperialist, corporate world order is a closed man-eating, mind-devouring Behemoth: it is called, at random, civilization, culture, justice, democracy or world peace.

Within this social context, we find the local, regional, national and international means of mass communication, which are owned as private property of the means of production by the ruling, globalized elitist classes. In this way, these means of communication and socialization, and their bosses, coin, divulge and imprint the current ruling ideas into the enslaved minds of billions on a world scale. The huge international mass media, newspapers, radio and TV do not inform, they deform the human mind, they perform ruling class duties.

The tragic result: in a globe populated soon by seven billion god forlorn creatures that are crawling around on this lost planet, President Hugo Chavez Frias is a 'dictator', a 'tyrant', a 'madman'. These 'facts' we can read daily across the globe, especially in the English-speaking world. There are no real, effectivecounter-offensive means to counter this real danger to the Bolivarian Revolution. VHeadline which did a tremendous effort to neutralize this mental onslaught, was left, without any financial aid to vanish into the putrefied capitalist air. ççOnce more we urgently appeal for help, to inform the world about this mental holocaust, about the destruction of the human intellectual soul in the Americas and elsewhere.

There are many other endeavors but they are only a few drops of water on the lava of Murdoch, Time-Warner and consorts.

A similar situation rages in Venezuela itself, although quite a few steps were taken to eliminate RCTV, but, as Globovision its ideological, diatribal venom is still threatening the very radio-electric waves, the human brains of Venezuela.

On the other hand, over the last decade, many a progressive, really informative radio or TV program, like 'Dossier', have faded into oblivion. The Bolivarian Revolution progressively is losing its philosophic basis, its social dynamo, the intellectual matrix of revolutionary theory. and could sink into obscurantist myopic, ideological activism, into endless toil, work, mental and physical slavery, into total human alienation.

* Are TV programs like "La Hojilla' in danger to be silenced too?

* After VHeadline, must Aporrea also succumb to material and financial pressures?

* Are we losing our minds progressively at the same rhythm that we assemble luxury cars in Venezuela?

* Will our minds be putrefied at the same velocity of the tourist air of Mérida?

* Will our eternal Spring here become a toxic inferno soon?

We have been looking at Mario Silva's program 'La Hojilla' regularly, in fact, it very often gave us first hand information, it became a point of revolutionary reference. Nothing in this world is perfect, except "Bush and his lackeys" here.

We can criticize Mario Silva, his program, we can criticize Chavez, his government, that is natural, is dialectical, is the quintessence of living Marxism. However, our human duty is to defend that what we have, our own revolution. Beyond doubt, this is what the 'Hojilla' is doing, and, if it ever should do anything else, we still will have to defend the Bolivarian Revolution, with or without any TV program.

As I stated in one of my previous books, in 2008, we are crossing the Rubicon, the point of no return. This is the time when all things become very clear, it is the hour of truth. Marx foresaw our contradictory age and he advised that the firing criticism of our weapons (praxis)fiery should not just replace our weapons of critique (theory), both in dialectical communion should create the foundation of our socialist vanguard workers' party.

In this sense, along with our loyal, incisive and precise critique, which is the revolutionary elixir of emancipation, we defend Mario Silva and the 'Hojilla'. We fight for the return of VHeadline.

We love our boss, we love our slaves, however, the truth we love even more. Mario, continue telling the truth, it is the Achilles Heel of Bush. It is the only serpentine road toward human emancipation.
